In 1964, Yves Omer is selected to be part of the Captain Cousteau dive team and begins an extraordinary adventure devoted to the sea world. Afterwards, he takes courses in underwater photography and cinematography, and so he became one of the Cousteau’s official cameraman. With the documentary filmed by Yves Omer,” The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau” in 1971, the Cousteau Society receives an award at the “Television Academy Award” in Hollywood.
