Calypso Log: Short journey in the sea of Marmara

Calypso just left the DP World terminal to sail to Aykin, its new shipyard.

Safe on her metallic cradle, which is tied to the barge, she is towed by two tug boats.

In about 5 hours, she will arrive at her destination, where she will be hoisted with her cradle to the ground platform.

During the 3 coming months a metallic shelter will be built surrounding Calypso to protect her and the workers from the bad weather.

In the meantime, all the preparatory program must be finalized in order to start her refitting. The entire program should take more than 18 months.
